About you

This page is all about you

I’m guessing you’re here because you have something to communicate — and maybe words alone aren’t doing the job.

As a graphic designer, I’ve helped a whole range of businesses get the message out there… and none of them were identical to yours. Everyone’s different.

Here’s what I’m hoping we have in common:

  • You care about communicating in a way that’s accessible to all
  • You’re not just ticking a box
  • You’re socially conscious, aware that one communication style doesn’t fit all
  • You want to share the message more widely
  • You want to make it easier for people to understand it

You can find out more about the people I’ve worked with on my testimonials page, along with some of their lovely feedback – like the quote below:

Katie is a real pleasure to work with! She has helped us to create a number of animation videos which distil lots of information in a clear, easy, engaging, and accessible format. Katie is very friendly and accommodating, taking the time and care to really listen to your needs, including feedback. The process of working with Katie is super smooth and efficient, and we plan to work with her again in the near future!” – Lucy, Sussex MSK Health

Your industry sector… and your audience

I transform complex information into something that anyone can understand.

Because of this, my designs work brilliantly for healthcare providers, public sector organisations, small businesses and charities. Having said that…

It’s about your audience, rather than your industry sector.

A diverse group of simple people icons in rainbow colours

Simple, engaging visuals are easily understood by people who are neurodivergent, who have different primary languages, or those with lower levels of literacy.

And here’s the important thing:

As humans, we enjoy visuals and remember them. When a message is accessible to groups who are often excluded, it also engages everyone else.

Here’s some feedback from one of my lovely clients about how my work has helped them:

Katie has worked with us on a number of projects, she is extremely creative and solution focussed. We have used her design, graphic recording and infographic skills extensively in our work with all our diverse communities. Katie creates easily understandable, effective visual communications. She’s also reliable, task focussed and friendly and I’d recommend her to anyone” – Jo, The Hangleton and Knoll Project
