Logo and icon design services

My logo and icon design services make your brand instantly recognisable.

Logos and icons grab people’s attention. They’re a key part of your customers’ first impression and stick in people’s minds (even if you’re not famous). They can communicate your values, your personality and your services.

They also make your content recognisable and consistent – across your website, documents and social media.

Here’s a logo I made for Brighton and Hove Federation, and their feedback:

Brighton and Hove Federation’s logo, with light green sketched lines in the shape of a simplified version of Brighton Pier with waves underneath it. 6 different-coloured seagulls in rainbow order (red, orange, yellow, blue, green and purple) fly over the end of the pier.

“Katie immediately understood the brief and made a logo that captured who we are, what we represent, and the essence of Brighton and Hove. Professional, organised, creative and super quick – we can’t recommend her highly enough!” – Brighton + Hove Federation

If you need a shiny new logo, or some branded icons to make your content more engaging and understandable, then let’s chat.

Logo design

Your logo is often the first thing your (potential) customers see. They’ll probably only look at it for a few seconds, so it needs to stand out and be memorable.

Logos are definitely one of my more personal design services. Whether you’re a freelancer, sole trader or small- to medium-sized business, I want to make sure the logo resonates with you and your target audience so you feel proud to show it off!

“Katie is super talented, bringing my logo ideas to life! Thank you again!” – Kelly, Walkies by the Seaside

Walkies by the Seaside's logo which is framed with a circle made of a dog lead. It shows the owner's silhouette walking 3 different breeds of dog on the beach in front of 2 colourful beach huts. Walkies by the Seaside, is written in the water at the bottom of the circle.

Icon design

You might have a great logo, but if your website is crammed with nothing but text it will turn people off.

Adding branded icons can help to explain your services, values and benefits to your (potential) clients and make your website more engaging.

“Katie provided expert advice and creative suggestions to build a set of 10 cohesive and accessible icon style based on my logo colours. I’d highly recommend her to anyone” – Hilary, Cardinal Support Services

Combining words with pictures is also scientifically proven to be more memorable – so adding some icons to your website will help people remember you and your services.

Icons can also make your content more visually appealing and consistent with your branding. And I love finding the best way to simply and easily show people exactly what you do.

“Katie created some great accessible icons that were bold, fun, and engaging. We had a super short turn around, and Katie was so efficient in working with us to define the brief and project manage delivery. We had a great experience and have already worked with her again!” – Henny, TetraLogical

How does logo and icon design work?

Before I get started with any design wizardry, I will:

  • Get nosy about your business
  • Identify the values and services that your logo or icons need to convey
  • Get to know you and your visual preferences

Then I’ll go away and start designing. It’s a collaborative process, including built-in rounds of changes, so we can make sure that the logo and icons are the perfect fit for you and your business 🙂
